My Quest for Nostalgia: Eager to recapture the magic of childhood, I stumbled upon numerous social media posts advertising the RG353V. Intrigued, I decided to take the plunge, but not before conducting thorough research to ensure my purchase would meet my expectations. The RG353V, featuring dual-boot functionality with Android 11 and Linux on a Rockchip chipset, stood out as a promising choice.

Dual-Boot Delight: The RG353V's dual-boot capability adds versatility to its functionality. Seamlessly transitioning between Android 11 and Linux opens up a world of possibilities. However, it's essential to note that the touch screen currently functions only in Android, making it crucial for enthusiasts engaged in touch-dependent emulation.

Tweaking, Testing, and Gaming: While many users focus on emulation, my primary interest lies in tweaking and stress-testing the RG353V. Unveiling its potential, I delved into the challenge of getting the device to run Android Play Store games successfully. The absence of the official Play Store at the outset prompted me to explore various tutorials available on popular video-based social media platforms.

Play Store Access: Addressing the absence of the official Play Store is a prerequisite for maximizing the RG353V's capabilities. Numerous tutorials on video-based social media platforms guide users through this process. For those looking to optimize their investment, these tutorials serve as valuable resources.

Favorite Compatible Games: Having an extensive collection of Android games, I experimented with several to compile a list of my favorite and most compatible titles for the RG353V:

  1. Minecraft

Minecraft,

this game Runs fairly well with only some framerate drop and minor hangs but for the most part I really really enjoy playing this game on this particular hand held form factor, it just really brings out the Nostalgia feel of the system in particular making you wish you could take the device back in time and give one to your younger self. The controls in this game work out of the box.

 Tacticool,

This is a fast-paced, top-down, team-based, multiplayer shooting game with the ability to earn new items, with several different tiers, skins, weapons, classes to earn along with Voice-Chat to talk to your squadmates! This is definitely one of my favorite games for this device as the controls all work seamlessly out of the box. The graphics can drop frames here and there but not enough to disrupt my ability to enjoy the game.

ShadowGun Legends,

Another amazing multiplayer game, a first-person shooter with Coop, and PvP elements, very fun, very addicting with console quality graphics, definitely one of my favorites on Android. the Controls work great out of the box with this title as well. There is definitely a bunch of hanging and frame drops in this title in the main square town of the social center part of the game, but it truly is still very playable, and the missions and other elements of the game run very well with minimal frame dropping.

Stardew Valley,

this game is awesome, and is made by one person! It is chocked full of content, controls work right out of the box and the touch screen seems to compliment the game as a whole, I'm not going to go into great detail about this game as the I would have to write an entire blog about this beautiful game that looks amazing and feels and plays amazing on this unit!

Vendetta Online

This game is amazing, a first or third person, 3d space MMO with trade systems, space-wars, upgrades, clans, chat and is an amazing experience ported from PC to the Android operating system, and with a few tweaks to the games controller settings, you can disable the touch screen controls and it will enable the other controller thumb-stick and by adding the appropriate joystick settings in the joystick part of the controller settings.

All in all I have done may things with this and I will update this post with more things that I have tried and Ideas and thoughts I have had about it, I am not affiliated with the product maker I am not receiving any kind of compensation for blogging about this Item, I am just truly fascinated with electronic devices like this and I love to share my ideas!
